Gopalganj SP distributes food to corona hit families

Gopalganj Superintendent of Police (SP) Ayesha Siddiqua provided food aid to 100 helpless, jobless and distressed families affected by the Corona pandemic on Saturday night ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.

Following health rules, she visited Mandartala, Bedgram and Getpara areas of the district town to search for unemployed, helpless and distressed families affected by corona. She urged all to abide by the rules of hygiene and to use masks when going out of the house in case of emergency. 

She later handed out food items to all present. The food items included 10 kg of rice, 2 liters of edible oil, 2 kg of pulses, 2 kg of potatoes, 2 kg of onion and 2 soaps.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) Mohammad Abdur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mohammad Khairul Alam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station Mohammad Monirul Islam and media personnel were present at the time.

It may be mentioned that considering the situation of Corona (Covid-19), the SP has distributed food aid and health care items among unemployed, helpless and distressed families in 5 police stations of the district including Gopalganj Sadar police station.

Bangladesh Police, Dhaka Range DIG Habibur Rahman also distributed health care items in various religious places of worship including mosques, temples and churches in Gopalganj.
