A total of 146 meritorious students who achieved GPA-5 in the 2024 SSC, HSC, and equivalent examinations were honoured with a reception and awarded scholarships by the Gopalganj District Council on Thursday.
The event was held at 10 AM in the Gopalganj Municipality Conference Hall, organised by the District Council. Muhammad Kamruzzaman, Deputy Commissioner and Administrator of the District Council (Joint Secretary), attended as the Chief Guest.
Parents, teachers, and invited guests joined the students in the ceremony. Presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education & ICT) Ruli Biswas, the event also featured speeches from Superintendent of Police Md. Mizanur Rahman, District Council Executive Officer Amit Debnath, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) S.M. Tarek Sultan, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer M. Rakibul Hasan, Roads and Highways Executive Engineer Md. Azharul Islam, and District Secondary Education Officer Khondokar Ruhul Amin.
Following the speeches, the Chief Guest, along with the dignitaries, presented each of the 126 SSC achievers and 20 HSC achievers with a stylish table clock, a high-quality backpack, and a cash gift of Tk. 1,000 in an envelope as a token of appreciation.
