Two persons were killed in a road accident on Magura-Jhenaidah road at Itkhola Bazar area in Magura on Friday noon.
The deceased were identified as Arjina Begum, 48, of Magura College Para, and Pikul Mollah, 50, son of Barik Molla of Dalpha Bogra village of Magura Sadar upazila in the district. The deceased Arjina is the wife of Dr Mizanur Rahman, organising secretary of Khulna division of Gonoforum and the owner of an Ayurvedic pharmaceutical company named Green Life. The deceased Pikul Molla is Mizanur Rahman's brother-in-law.
Sirajul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Magura Sadar Police Station, said that the accident took place while a passenger bus named Purbasha hit their motor bike around 12 pm. They were going to attend a wedding ceremony of a relative’s house at Sreerampur in Magura Sadar.
