Jamie Akhter participated in the JDC examination by leaving dead body of her mother at home. She has been attending the JDC examination from Bishrampur Dakhil Madrasha at Samir Uddin Smriti College examination centre under Madrasha Education Board. According to sources, Rokeya Khatun(30), wife of Abdul Quddus of village Bishrampur Agatola under Baliadangi upazila and mother of Jamie Akher had been suffering from Cancer for last one and a half year. Recently her condition deteriorated and she died at her home early on Thursday.
With tears in her eyes, Jamie Akheter went to the examination centre on Thursday morning to attend Bangladesh and Bishwa Parichoy subject leaving the dead body of her mother at home. Kusum Uddin, Centre-in-charge and Principal of Bora Polashbari Alim Madrasa informed, Sumi appeared at the examination for full three-hour. With tears, she informed, she had answered successfully all the questions of the examination.
The dead body of Rokeya Khatun was buried at her family grave-yard after the Namaz-e-Janaja on Friday noon. Dr. KM Kamruzzaman Selim, Deputy Commissioner of Thakurgaon thanked Jamie Akhter for her devotion to study and expressed condolence towards the bereaved family members.
