Gift items distributed among poor in Jaintapur

“Like the rest of the world our Jaintapur has also been infested with coronavirus. About half a hundred people of Jaintapur upazila in Sylhet are infected with corona. At this time, everyone should stay at home, wear a mask and move maintaining social distance.”

Chairman of Dorbost Union Baharul Alam Bahar said these while addressing as the chief guest at a gift distribution programme on behalf of Vitargram Expatriate Welfare Council organized by Vitargram Islamic Social Welfare Council on Friday.

Mohammad Khalilur Rahman, Senior Teacher of Jalalabad Cantonment Public School and College and Chief Patron of Islamic Social Welfare Council presided over the function conducted by Bank Officer Md. Shahin Ahmed.

In his speech, he said that standing by the side of endangered people and helping them is the identity of the best and noble people.

Maulana Shafiullah Masud, President of Islamic Social Welfare Council, Mr. Ebadullah, UP Member of Ward No. 2, Maulana Kabir Ahmed, eminent educationist were present as special guests.

Mohammad Khalilur Rahman, Co-Chairman of NDFBD and President of the event distributed masks among all those present. Essential items including rice, pulses, sugar, salt, onion, oil, potatoes and soap were distributed among half a hundred helpless and jobless families in the village.
