Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed on Saturday left Dhaka for New Delhi on a three-day official visit to India.
General Shafiuddin is leading an eight-member delegation, said Inter-Service Public Relations Directorate (ISPR).
He will pay courtesy calls on India’s national security adviser, chief of defence staff, chiefs of the three military forces and other senior military officials during his visit
General Shafiuddin will discuss bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the armed forces of the two neighbouring countries during the meetings. The army chief will also visit various military establishments of India.
He will meet also Bangladesh High Commissioner in New Delhi Muhammad Imran.
General Shafiuddin will return home on Wednesday.
