Gender parity stressed for sustainable development

Vice Chancellor  of Noakhali Science and Technology University  (NSTU) Prof Dr Mohammad Didar-ul-Alam said that in order to take the country forward, gender equality must be given priority. only then sustainable development is possible.

On 8 March, the Vice Chancellor gave statement as chief guest at a brief discussion held at NSTU marking International Women's Day.

The Vice-Chancellor also added that, everyone should show respect to women. The theme of this year's Women's Day is 'Women's Health and Awakening'.  If the health of the mother is good then the health of the nation will be good.

To celebrate the day, different arrangements including cake cutting, rallies and discussion programmes were held. The programme was conducted by Director of Student Counseling and Guidance office Biplob Mallick. 

In the programme, among others, NSTU treasurer Professor Dr Mohammad Faruque Uddin, President of the Teachers Association, Prof. Dr.Newaz Mohammad Bahadur, IIS Director Professor Dr Firoz Ahmed, Deputy Registrar Jasim Uddin, teachers, students and officials were present.
