The 'Charpatharghata Union Social Organization Coordinating Council' has taken to the field again to ensure that general public wears masks and adheres to hygiene rules to combat the second phase of corona infection.
Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury Jabed MP inspired the distribution of masks and induction programme at Hall Twenty One in Karnafuli Upazila on Wednesday noon.
CMP Commissioner Saleh Mohammad Tanvir was present as the chief guest under the presidency of Lion Hakim Ali, convener of the organization.
The Chief guest said, “A new problem has come into our lives, so we have to wear the face mask. A few days ago, our Prime Minister made a very straightforward point, that the mask is mandatory. There are also instructions that if one can not wear a mask, one shouldn't be given government services”.
He added, "Bangladesh has turned around in the face of this epidemic by the sacrifice of many front liners like Charpatharghata social organization”.
Senior Joint Convener and General Secretary of Chittagong South District Workers League Engineer Islam Ahmed, Joint Convener of the organization MA Maruf and Chief Health Coordinator Marshal Monir Ahmed welcomed the CMP Commissioner with flowers on the occasion.
Diamond Cement Limited Chairman Alhaj Azim Ali, Lion Hakim Ali, Chairman of Shafa Group of Companies Alhaj MN Shafa handed over the crest to the chief guest on behalf of the organization.
Member Secretary Muhammad Selim Haque, Joint Secretary Farid Jewel, Finance Committee Secretary Selim Khan, Coordinator Ali Haider, Mohiuddin Monju, Chaber Ahmed, MN Akter were also present on the occasion.
