Friendly football, volleyball matches held in Jamalpur

A friendly football and volleyball match was held in Jamalpur on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh’s independence.

The friendly football and volleyball match was organized by the district administration and drug control department in collaboration with the district sports office at Jamalpur Bir Muktijoddha Abdul Hakim Stadium on Monday afternoon.  Additional Deputy Commissioner (Overall) Mohammad Mokleshur Rahman presided over the friendly football and volleyball match organized on the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence.  

DC Mursheda Zaman inaugurated the football and volleyball match as the chief guest.  Jamalpur Superintendent of Police Nasir Uddin Ahmed, Civil Surgeon Dr Pranoy Kanti Das, NDC Md Mahbubul Hasan and others were present at the time.

At the beginning of the programme, recitation from the Qur'an and national anthem were performed. 

 Later, the chief guest announced the opening of the friendly match.  The chief guest said in his inaugural address that sports were closed across the country due to the Corona epidemic.  Now sports will start again all over the country.  If one play sports, your body and mind will be better.  Later, a friendly match was held between Sumon Smriti XI and Jamalpur Club.  Officers, employees and spectators of different levels of the district were present at the time.
