We common people want to see a peaceful society where there will be no jealousy, hatred and conflict. People irrespective of religion, caste, and creed want to live in peace in our country.

We desire to have a society where we can perform our responsibilities and duties with due dignity and honesty for the betterment of our families, society and country. We believe we will be able to do it as Awami League President Sheikh Hasina, elder daughter of the country’s founding father, on Thursday formed the government for the fourth consecutive term with a 37-member cabinet as she took oath as the prime minister for the fifth term.

The country’s people have full confidence in Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina who vowed that the journey toward prosperity will continue since her party assumed power again through the people’s mandate.

Sheikh Hasina has trust in the country’s people. We believe the rule of law has already been established in our country as the people mandated her to run the country for the fourth consecutive term. Heads of state and government of different countries continued extending their heartfelt congratulations to Sheikh Hasina on her being the premier again hoping her activities as the prime minister will further contribute to strengthening the constructive bilateral cooperation for the benefit of the people of the respective countries.

Besides, the whole world is also praising Sheikh Hasina for her numerous development works like launching the Bangabandhu Satellite and building Padma Bridge, Karnaphuli River Tunnel and Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant. The countrymen imbued with the spirit of War of Liberation also believe Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is doing absolutely superb job.

The greatest achievement of Sheikh Hasina is winning the love of the people of Bangladesh by working relentlessly for comprehensive development of the country.

rule of law has already been established

her to run the country for the fourth

consecutive term.

Due to the success of her massive development programmes, Bangladesh has been accepted as a role model of development all over the world. Therefore, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina-led newly elected government will put Bangladesh in an honourable position.

We think the new cabinet after the 12th national parliament election has been constituted wisely by Sheikh Hasina.

We are hailing the new cabinet as it is a very good one formed in combination with the elders and freshers. Therefore, the cabinet members must discharge their responsibility given by the prime minister with utmost sincerity and honesty.

Bangladesh was once called the land of beggars. Foreigners used to term our country a basket case. From that position, our country is now in a respectable position through the dynamic leadership of Prime Ministers Sheikh Hasina.

Therefore, all eyes will be on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as a fresh journey of Awami League government begins tomorrow. With the swearing-in ceremony completed, the new government is set to start the new journey.

We hope the democratic process will continue. The welfare of the people and the nation cannot be ensured without an elected government and the democratic process.

We believe her government will now begin a new journey to build a smart Bangladesh with new energy. We hope, Awami League’s manifesto for the January 7 general elections prepared in light of the reality and the present context, will be implemented under the dynamic leadership of Sheikh Hasina.

Although Bangladesh faces natural and man-made disasters like arson terrorism, we people want country’s continued journey towards development. Therefore, the new cabinet members, lawmakers, grassroots representatives and administration must strengthen her hand to fulfil the unfinished works of the prime minister.

We think the government should not tolerate any longer the destructive activities and the recurrence of torching people to death and arson attacks staged in the past by BNP-Jamaat on the soil of Bangladesh.

We hope, the new government will walk in line with reality as tough challenges lie ahead.

We also hope Sheikh Hasina will look after the country’s people with motherly affection. Besides, the cabinet members and the lawmakers have to keep in mind that it is an opportunity to serve the country and its people.
