Freelancer Mahbub Alam Khan, won the trophy of the best athletes when the prize giving ceremony of the Walton Sports Carnival of the Bangladesh Sports Journalist Association (BSJA) was held on Wednesday.
The five-day sports competition was concluded with a colorful closing ceremony was held at the Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium. About 50 atheletes (journalists) competited in eleven events for 18 medals when the champions, runners up and the third positioned won medals and recieved prize money.
Mahbub Alam Khan, who adjudged the best athletes, obtained 10 points with winning two gold and as many silver medals.
ATM Sayeeduzzaman, president of the BSJA and AFM Iqbal Bin Anwar Don, senior executive director of the Walton Hightech Industries Limited distributed prizes among the winners when the BSJA president appreciated the journalists for the participating in the competition.
Anisur Rahman, general secretary of the BSJA and Raihan Al Mughni convener of the tournament committee addressed to the gathering.
when Asaduzzaman Koohinur, general secretary of the Bangladesh Handball Federation and MB Saif, general secretary of the Bangladesh Swimming Federation were present in the occasion among others.
