A free medical camp was held for the flood affected victims in Lakxmir Char in Jamalpur Sadar upazila on Friday. The medical services were provided at the Char Jotharthopur Government Primary School in a joint venture with the District Health Department and Parbatipur Lamb Hospital in Dinajpur.
The free medical camp provided service to the pregnant mothers and adolescents with reproductive health care, general medical care, maternity physical examination, adolescent fertility and health counseling services, delivery of clean delivery materials, critical illness advice.
Civil Surgeon Dr. Gautam Roy inaugurated the free medical camp. Head of the Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Mahfuzur Rahman and project manager of Lamb Hospital Mahatab Uddin Liton were present on the occasion. According to the sources, a total of 15,000 pregnant mothers and adolescents have been provided services in 24 unions of seven upazilas of Jamalpur under the initiative of Parbatipur Lamb Hospital in Dinajpur.
The CERF (Center for Emergency Response Fund) will provide free medical, medical care, medical assistance to poor and complex patients, and reimbursement for improved treatment.
