A two-day free medical camp began at Sreepur Government College in Magura on Friday with the slogan 'Own home, own hospital, coronavirus free Bangladesh'.
Magura Deputy Commissioner Ashraful Alam, who took the initiative, Professor. Rashidul Hasan, Zahidul Alam, Sreepur Upazila Nirbahi Officer Yasin Kabir, Principal of Sreepur Degree College Nirmal Kumar Saha, Journalist Zahid Rahman and UP Chairman Moshiar Rahman were present at the opening ceremony of the camp.
More than 300 patients received free treatment on Friday, the first day of event, which is oganized by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Limited.
Chairman of Ingenious Health Care Limited Professor Dr Rashidul Hasan led the medical camp and saw the patients.
Professor Rashidul said they have so far provided free medical treatment to 12,000 people through such medical camps.
Their goal is to provide medical services to the door of rural people amid the coronavirus pandemic, he added.
The final day camp will be held at Magura Sadar on Saturday.
