Four traders fined Tk 48,000 in Nabinagar for charging more

Four traders have been fined for charging high prices of goods and not displaying the price list in Nabinagar of Brahmanbaria.

Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) of the mobile court Mosharraf Hossain conducted a raid in the Municipal Sadar Bazar area on Saturday in collaboration with the Nabinagar police.

At that time, four traders were fined Tk 48,000 in four cases under the Consumer Rights Act for keeping higher price of edible oil than normal prices and keeping stocks. At the same time, they were warned not to increase the prices.

Nabinagar Bazar Committee President Md Monir Hossain and General Secretary Ashraful 

Islam Johny were present at the time.

In this regard, Executive Magistrate Mosharraf Hossain said, such operations will continue to ensure the prices stable.
