A 4-storey building collapsed in Sholshahr of Chattogram city. A unit of Bayezid Fire Service and Civil Defense Station reached the spot and is monitoring the situation.
It is known that the building has 6 commercial offices on different floors and 2 grocery stores and a photocopy shop on the ground floor. The grocer noticed the matter on Wednesday morning. Later, when the owner was informed about the matter, he brought everyone down from the building.
The building on the right side of Sholashar railway station collapsed on Wednesday morning. The owner of the building, Bappi Ahmed, confirmed this.
He said that the soil has been removed from the canal to the work of the Chashma canal project. There was a lock on the side. But those locks were not reattached. Due to which the building is leaning in the morning. But managed to evacuate the tenants safely. The building is very old. Baba built the second floor around 986-87. Next I did the third and fourth floor. For the first time, the building has fallen.
Agrabad Fire Service Officer-in-Charge Kofil Uddin said that a unit of Bayezid Bostami Fire Station has been sent to the spot due to the collapse of the building. But did not have to work. People were evacuated before we left.
