Four passengers of a private car were killed when a bus collided with it at RDRS Bazar on Kurigram-Rangpur road in Kurigram Sadar upazila. Among the dead were three members of the same family.
The accident happened on Thursday (August 13) morning. The identities of the deceased were not immediately known.
It is learned that Narsingdi social service officer Akbar Hossain was coming with his family to his home district Kurigram. Arriving at the spot in the morning, a bus collided with their car head-on. Akbar Hossain, his wife and child totally to four people were killed on the spot. The other victim was said to be an assistant of Akbar Hossain travelling in the car. Another child of Akbar Hossain and the driver of the vehicle were seriously injured in the incident.
Kurigram Sadar Police Inspector (SI) Shahrul Islam has confirmed the truth of the incident.
