Bangladesh has won the U-19 Cricket World Cup for the first time. In the 15-men winning squad, four players hailed from different Clemon Cricket Academies. They were students at the academies. Seven cricket academies, under the Clemon banner in the country, cherish their success and express pride for their mark in the history.
The four stars hailing from the academy are right-handed batsman Mahmudul Hasan Joy, all-rounder Shamim Hossain, left-handed pacer Shariful Islam, and all-rounder Mehrab Hossain. Born in Faridganj of Chandpur, Mahmudul’s father got him admitted to Chandpur Clemon Cricket Academy. With the help of his uncle, Shamim also took admission to the same academy.
Shariful, though, started his journey at Dinajpur Clemon Cricket Academy, he later continued his training at Rajshahi Clemon academy along with his fellow Mehrab. All these four youngsters later played at different clubs, achieved their places at the U-19 cricket team, and proved them to be the pride of the country. The U-19 team has bagged the champion’s trophy this year.
