Two criminal cases have been filed to the judicial magistrate court here on Sunday last against former Kayetpara union council chairman of Rupganj Upazila Rafikul Islam Rafik and 47 others. The name of the former chairman has been mentioned I the case as the main accused
After a hearing in judicial magistrate Kawsar Alam’s court on Sunday the court directed Rupganj Police Station to record the complaint as regular case (FIR) and the same court passed an order to investigate the complaint by the detective branch (DB) police here.
A complainant Md Mamun stated in his case story that Rafik and his armed gang forced him to sell 95 decimal of land to Rafik on October 17,2023 owned by his four brothers including him. After two days Rafik and his cohorts on October 19 again attacked Mamun and his brothers to register their land in the name of Rafik. Being failed twice on October 21 Rafik and other 30/35 persons attacked Mamun’s house and vandalized it.
On the other hand, complainant Asgor Ali Bhuiya mentioned in his court petition that Rafik and his gang attacked his house on November 18,2023 to force him to sell his land in the name of Rafik.
