Tanvir Murad, a former student of Department of Pharmacy at Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU), has taken initiative to send adequate medical equipment from USA to NSTU for continuing the corona test in NSTU lab and protection of COVID-19 fighters of NSTU.
Tanvir Murad is currently living in USA, who took this different initiative to stand beside the COVID-19 fighters of NSTU. He said, the medical equipment include 10 pieces of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), 400 pieces of K-95 mask, 500 pieces of Surgical Mask and 100 pieces of Face Shield which will be sent to NSTU by Currier as soon as possible.
About this initiative, Tanvir Murad said, "Though I am currently living in the USA, I become very happy to hear from the media that my university NSTU has started Corona sample testing and NSTU is involved in making the Rapid Testing Kit for Corona detection.
I came to know that there is a lack of adequate medical equipment for Corona testing in NSTU lab. Despite the lack of safety equipment, the COVID-19 fighters are working at the risk of their lives. Their confidence and courage have fascinated me to extend a helping hand to them”.
He also added, he studied with the people's tax during his university life at NSTU and that's why this is a very small gift for his campus NSTU and Bangladesh. He had been trying to send American FDA approved medical equipment too, he added.
