Mohammed Mohsin, one of the most talented goalkeepers in the history of Bangladeshi football, has been missing for nearly a month. The legendary goalkeeper, who once dazzled on the field, disappeared a few months ago but returned home after two days. This time, however, his family and friends have been unable to locate him, and he has been untraceable for almost a month.
Mohsin's younger brother, Pintu, has filed a general diary at both Ramna and Kamalapur police stations regarding his elder brother's sudden disappearance. Despite three weeks passing, there has been no sign of Mohsin. A deeply worried Pintu said, "I don’t know where my brother is. He has no mobile, money, or anything with him. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts, please bring him back to us."
Mohsin, who enjoyed a vibrant football career, was a superstar in Bangladeshi football during the 1980s. After retiring from playing, he moved to Canada but returned to Bangladesh after a few years. Now 60 years old, the former national team captain has been struggling with various physical and psychological issues.
At one point, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) took responsibility for his treatment, but Mohsin left the hospital without informing anyone and returned home. His friends also made efforts to help him recover but eventually had to give up.
Mohsin suffers from physical ailments as well as behavioural disorders, which affect his memory. He spent most of his time at home before his sudden disappearance at the end of August. The football community and his loved ones are deeply concerned and hope for his safe return.
