Former Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Alhaj Mohammad Manzoor Alam gave sacrificial animal to Sorkari Shishu Poribar and Mentally retarded children's institutions in Raufabad and Chhotomoni Nibash on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha on Saturday.
He gave sacrificial cows in the name of the martyred members of Bangabandhu's family to the children living in the Sorkari Shishu Poribar (girls) and Mentally retarded children's institutions in Raufabad and Chhotamoni Nibash of Chittagong city.
Mohammad Faridul Alam, Deputy Director of the Department of Social Services, Chittagong District, accepted a sacrificial cow on behalf of the institution. Officials and orphan students of these institutions were present at that time.
On behalf of former CCC Mayor Mohammad Manzoor Alam, the sacrificial animals were handed over by former Principal Mohammad Badsha Alam, Executive Inspector of his institution. Milad and monajat were held at the programme and the participants prayed for the welfare of the country and the nation and the martyred members of Bangabandhu's family.
