Month-long football recruitment and training program for the fiscal 2023-24 was inaugurated in Jhenaidah on Tuesday afternoon. Organized by Jhenaidah district sports association (DSA), the training course was inaugurated under the Development Cup Football under 15 at Jhenaidah Bir Shreshtha Sepoi Hamidur Rahman Stadium by additional deputy Commissioner (ADC, revenue) Rathindara Nath Roy as chief guest.
Upazila nirbahi officer (UNO) Razia Akter Chowdhudry, upazila parishad chairman Rashedur Rahman Rasel, district sports officer Mizanur Rahman and assistant director of the directorate of narcotics and liquor in Jhenaidah Golak Majumder among others present as special guests.
ADC Rathindara Nath Roy as chief guest of the inaugural session said football is world wide know as the most popular games like Bangladesh. The game brought huge name and fame of the country when the stars of sports were playing significant role in home and abroad.
Both the trainers and trainees should enjoy the training course so that they could play more positive role to make the county more sports-friendly in the globe.
