Chairman of the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA), Zakaria, has emphasised that the connection between food and life is inseparable. “As long as there is life, food will remain intrinsically linked to it. We consume food not only to survive but also to maintain good health,” he stated.
He made these remarks as the chief guest at a day-long training workshop for government primary school teachers, organised by the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority, Satkhira District. The event took place on Sunday morning at Lake View Resort in Satkhira town.
A total of 40 government primary school teachers from across the district took part in the training.
Deputy Commissioner Mostaq Ahmed presided over the event. Among the special guests were Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education, Abu Noor Md Shamsuzzaman, Secretary and STIRC Project Director, Sravasti Roy, Team Leader Atsushi Koyama, District Primary Education Officer Ruhul Amin, and District Safe Food Officer Dipankar Dutta.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness about safe food practices, particularly among those responsible for educating the next generation.
