Two-month long free of cost food distribution among the corona infected patients and their attendants in Jhenaidah. Rashida Hasan Foundation, a voluntary organization in Jhenaidah had started the food distribution programme on Wednesday morning at Jhenaidah Sadar hospital auditorium. Superintendent of the hospital Dr Harun Or Rashid inaugurated the programme as chief guest.
In the programme chaired by Rashida Hasan, Foundation advisor Freedom Fighter Golam Mostafa Loton, resident medical officer (RMO) Dr. Mithila Islam, foundation director Ali Hasan Kibria, vice president Jakaria Mithu, social worker Saifur Rahman Mithu and Freedom Fighter Mantu Mia and media activist Saiful Mabud among others present.
Rashida Hasan Foundation director Ali Hasan Kibria said they came up with the decision to provide food when the near and dear ones of the corona infected patients have been attending in the hospital round the clock as the infestation were increasing day by day.
They were passing hard time for want of food for days together. The activities will somehow reduce the sufferings of the people as well as help improve the service by the near and dear ones of the patients.
The organization will supply the food free of cost among 100 persons a day for continuous two months, Ali Hasan Kibria said.
