Faridpur Municipality distributed food items with the support of BRAC Urban Development Project at Rathkhola brothel in Faridpur on Tuesday which was locked down by the administration, to prevent coronavirus from spreading.
Faridpur Municipality Mayor Sheikh Mahtab Ali Methu handed over the food items to the sex workers as the chief guest. Among others Councilor of ward no 2 of Faridpur municipality Anisur Rahman Chowdhury Sabul, Regional Manager of BRAC Urban Development Project Md. Ikram Hossain and District Coordinator of Brac Md. Asadullah Shakil Hossain were present.
At the time 2 kg of pulse, 2 kg of oil, 2 kg of potato, 2 kg of onion, 1 kg of flour, 500 gram of salt and a bar of soap were handed over to 200 sex workers of the brothel.
