FM gives autorickshaw to family of driver killed in cylinder blast

Foreign Minister (FM) and Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League Dr Hasan Mahmud gifted a new CNG autorickshaw to the family of poor CNG driver Abdus Sabur of Satkania who was burnt due to cylinder explosion of CNG driven autorickshaw in Chandnaish of Chattogram..

On Monday afternoon, on behalf of the foreign minister's family charity NNK Foundation, the minister's wife Nuran Fatima and younger brother Khaled Mahmud handed over the keys of the CNG autorickshaw to Rumi Akhtar, wife of the deceased Abdus Sabur at Dewanji Pukur Lane residence in the city.    Foreign minister's Personal Officer (PO) Emrul Karim Rashed,  Satkania Upazila’s West Dhemsha Union Parishad Chairman Riduanul Islam Sumon, UP member Nasir Uddin and the deceased's mother and two children were present. Foreign Minister's wife Nuran Fatima said, “The Foreign Minister himself became emotional after seeing the news of CNG driver Sabur being burnt alive.  She thinks the victim's family needs a way to survive.   So, a new CNG was bought and handed over to them today.  She expressed her willingness to be with the family in any need.”  Chairman of NNK Foundation Khaled Mahmud said, “From our family charity NNK Foundation, we provide humanitarian aid to various areas including our area Rangunia.  The death of Sabur in West Dhemsha of Satkania has shocked the whole country. The family is destitute today.  

That's why I tried to stand by them.” It is learnt on March 25, Abdus Sabur (35) was burnt inside when the cylinder of the CNG autorickshaw he was driving exploded at Mazar Point Bridge of Chandanish on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway. 

He is the son of Mofizur Rahman of Ichamati village of west Dhemsha Union of Satkania Upazila. 

The family consists of a wife and two children.
