Flowers are busy blooming all around. This is a common sight along the roads of Dhaka that are lined by flower plants of various species. But, with the arrival of spring and the month of Falgun underway the roadways are blan- keted by colours of yellow and orange. Being a country of six seasons, Bangladesh dawns varying identi- ties with the coming and going of each immersive season. Spring being the first season after a chilly winter, the minds of people fill with joy. Not only is the coming of Falgun celebrated each year with enthusi- astic countrymen flocking together in merriment, but also the month
sees colourful blooms of flowers all over Bangladesh. Although, the recent winter has left the country coughing because of a lingering dust cloud, the flowers couldn’t care less about such trivial matters and have become busy on time to show their beauty. As such, even when the government is taking steps to counter the dust problem, nature has taken its due course and in accordance with the time has awaken show its magnificence. Floral sights can be specifically witnessed in the parks of the country and along the roadways which are decorated with flower plants. This provides a much needed source of eye-soothing refreshment of the mind for people busy in the clasps of routine life.
