The body of a fisherman was recovered on Wednesday from the Kirtankhola river in Barishal two days after she went missing.
The dead was Abed Ali, 30, son of Sohrab Sardar, a resident of Rasulpur area of Abed Nagar.
His body was recovered from the river adjacent to Barishal seaport in the afternoon.
Barishal Sadar River Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Jalil confirmed the matter.
He said, on Monday (March 18) around 12:30 pm, Abed was fishing in that area from a launch. The net of the fisherman got stuck in the propeller of the launch. Abed was disappeared after getting cut while releasing the net. Later, his body was found on Wednesday.
