The Bangladesh Embassy in Nepal has organised an exhibition of fish products on its premises ahead of Bangladesh fish festival.
A large number of fish importers from Nepal’s hospitality sector and business community, including managers and executives from various hotels and resorts, attended the event, according to a media release of the Embassy on Tuesday.
Binayak Shah, President of the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN), expressed his gratitude to the Embassy for arranging the display.
In his welcome speech, Ambassador Md Shafiqur Rahman highlighted the unique flavor and rich culinary value of Bangladesh’s freshwater and marine fish.
He also spoke about the history and delicacy of Bangladeshi fish dishes and their growing global recognition, emphasising the export potential of the country’s fisheries sector.
The Ambassador thanked the Nepali hospitality sector representatives and HAN for participating in the fish display.
The Embassy is set to host the “Bangladesh Fish Festival” on November 28, 2025, with diplomats, senior government officials and leading business entrepreneurs expected to attend.
