A fire broke out in a tyre godown at Dattabari area in Bogura town on Saturday night. The fire incident took place at around 8:30 pm at the godown of Nahid Motors. On receiving the news, fire service and civil defense members, with the help of the local councilor, extinguished the fire after one and a half hour.
Bajalur Rashid, senior station officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense in Bogura, said on receiving the news, 3 units rushed to the scene. The fire was brought under control at around 10 pm after an effort of one and a half hour. However, the cause of the fire or the extent of damage is yet to be assessed through investigation.
Lion Kabiraj Tarun Chakrabarty, councilor of ward 3 of Bogura municipality, said on Sunday morning that the fire was extinguished with the help of Fire Service and Civil Defense personnel along with local people. However, the extent of the damage was not known yet.
