A fire broke out at a composite factory named Magpie Composite Ltd, located Zirabo Amtola area in Ashulia, on the capital’s outskirts. However, no causalities were reported in this incident.
Confirming the matter, Khaleda Easmin, Duty Officer of the Fire Service Control Room said the fire took place around 2:35 pm on Friday on the top floor of 6 storied factory building.
Later on information, three firefighter units from DEPZ fire station and two units from Savar fire station rushed to the spot and started operation to douse the fire around 3:17 pm.
Later, firefighters were able to douse the fire under control at 4:27 pm around one hour of efforts.
The reason for the fire or estimated losses in this incident could not be known immediately, she added.
However, Bangladesh Post could not reach the factory authority for a comment in this regard.
