The National Consensus Commission’s ongoing dialogue with political parties was suspended on Sunday after a sudden fire alarm at Shapla Hall of the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.
The alarm began sounding around 12:15 pm, prompting momentary panic among participants.
Vice Chairman of the Consensus Commission, Prof Ali Riaz, asked all to evacuate at approximately 12:20 pm.
Although the alarm ceased around 12:25 pm, the session had not resumed as of 12:40 pm.
