Fire affected three families received financial help from eminent businessman, social worker and intending candidate for the post of upazila parishad chairman Mijanur Rahman Masum on Tuesday. The affected family heads, who received donations are Shah Jamal of Kanuharpur, Hossain Ali and Ramjan Ali of of Sutlia village in Jhenaidah Sadar.
They lost their all belongings in separate fire incidents recently. Masum distributed Taka 1.20 lakh to help the affected families in their needs.
The recipients of donation prayed for his welfare so that he could stand by the helpless people in their need. Jhenaidah press club general secretary Foysal Ahmed, among other, were present on the occasion.
