The fifth convocation of the International Islamic University of Chattogram (IIUC) will be held on September 11. Deputy Minister of Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naufel will preside over it with the consent of President Md. Abdul Hamid, Chancellor of the University.
This information was given in a press conference organized at Bangabandhu Hall of Chattogram Press Club on Thursday. IIUC Vice-Chancellor Professor Anwarul Azim Arif read the written statement.
According to the press conference, 15 thousand 361 graduates will be awarded degrees during the spring semester 2016-20 in this convocation. 2 thousand 140 graduates will receive the certificate by directly participating in the convocation. Out of this 29 have been selected for Chancellor's Gold Medal and 137 have been selected for Vice Chancellor's Gold Medal.
Biswajit Chand, member of the University Grants Commission, will be the guest at the convocation ceremony. Professor Emeritus and former Vice-Chancellor of BRAC University Dr. Ainun Nishat will deliver the convocation address. Besides, IIUC Board of Trustees Chairman Abu Reza Muhammad Nezamuddin Nadvi will also be a guest.
IIUC Pro Vice Chancellor Mashrurul Mawla, Treasurer Mohammad Humayun Kabir, IIUC Board of Trustees Member Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury, Khaled Mahmud, Rizia Reza Chowdhury, Registrar AFM Akhtaruzzaman Kaiser were present in the press conference.
