Burial of brave freedom fighter Sheikh Abdul Qayyum (80) has been completed in Ulipur of Kurigram. He was buried at the Tabakpur Miabari family cemetery of the upazila on Saturday (November 19) at 10:30 am. Before this, his funeral prayers were held at his home.
He was been ill for a long time. He was a retired head teacher. He died last Friday at 5:20 pm while undergoing treatment at the modern hospital in Kurigram.
He is survived by his wife, 1 son and 2 daughters and numerous relatives and well-wishers.
A small team of police provided a guard of honor before the funeral of the brave freedom fighter Sheikh Abdul Qayyum Master, who was present at the time.
At that time, MP MA Matin, Upazila Parishad chairman freedom fighter Golam Hossain Montu, UNO Shobhan Rangsa and others were present.
