After about a nine and a half-hour of suspension, the movement of ferries in Daulatdia-Paturia riverine route resumes again. The movement of ferried in the route remained suspended due to dense fog.
Ahmmed Ali, Marine Officer of BIWTC Mawoa confirmed the news of the resumption of ferry movement at 9-30 AM on Monday ( December-7) Earlier, the movement of ferries suspended from 12-00 midnight of Sunday (December-6) to avert any accident due to dense fog, informed Zillur Rahman, DGM of BIWTC Aricha office. He informed, 'the fog started to shroud the riverine areas from after the evening.
Later, around 12-00 midnight, the marking light of Ferry turned blurred due to dense fog. As a result, the ferry movement was suspended in Paturia-Daulatdia route to avert any accident. The ferry movement resumes following the decrease of the fog. '
