Prominent Nazrul musician of the country isFerdousAra. For over 48 years she has been in the music industry. Star Plus Communication is going to arrange an award special programme forFerdousAra in honour of her long journey of four decades. The 'Star Plus Communication Performance Award' is going to be held on January 29 at 5.30 pm at a five star hotel in the capital. FerdousAra will be honoured on this occasion. The matter has been confirmed by the director of the program Nazmul Khan.Chairman of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited (BSCL) DrShahjahan Mahmood, will be present as the chief guest.
About receiving the special award, FerdousAra said, “I am sincerely grateful to those who are going to confer special honours on me, respecting my four decade journey in music life.The organizers have thought about me in a special way, I respect their thoughts. I certainly feel honoured. This award will inspire me more in my future and give me the courage to do something more special with Nazrul music.
FerdousAra has been awarded special honors by Nazrul Institute, Nazrul Institute, Trishal, Mymensingh, for her long career in music. Awarded a lifetime achievement award from Channel I. Many years ago, she got brought honour to the country by singing Nazrul's folk songs from 72 countries at the Folk Festival organized by the United Nations in Uzbekistan.
Meanwhile, every Wednesday at 11:30 pm she is going to host a programme titled 'NazrulUtsav' on Channel I, and the repeat telecast will be on Thursday at 5:10 am and on Friday at 12:30 pm. FerdousAra is currently busy with this event. Besides, the singer is also working with NazrulSangeet.
FerdousAra is publishing 'EkkokkontheHazarGaan’, already 10 pieces have been released in the form album. It has more than a hundred songs. “I am releasing these songs based on the original record with the idea that the new generation can easily listen to Nazrul's songs. I am doing this out of my own love,” FerdousAra added.
