Fazilatunnesa Indira pays homage to Bangabandhu

State Minister for women and children affairs Begum Fazilatunnesa Indira paid homage to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Tungipara in Gopalganj on Sunday. 

After placing the wreaths at Bangabandhu’s graveyard, she stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu, the architect of independence.

Later a special dua and munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of Bangabandhu and other martyrs of the August 15 carnage.

At that time, Nargis Rahman, lawmaker of female reserved seat, Mahbub Ali Khan, Secretary of Gopalganj District Awami League, Abdullah Al Baki, Assiatant Deputy Commissioner (Education), Md Sanwar Hossen, Additional Police Super, Nasima Akter Rubel, president of the district Women Awami League, Mahmuda Begum, Secretary of the district Women Awami League, Sheikh Mili, president of Dhanmondi unit Awami League, Md Nakib Hasan Tarafder upazila nirbahi officer of Tungipara, Md Azmir Hosen, District Women affairs officer, Srimoye Bagchi, upazila women affairs officer and Kazi Zonaki, female vice chairman of Kotalipara upazila were present there.
