Title contenders Bangladesh Ansar and VDP and the Border Guard Bangladesh won their respective matches in the ongoing Victory Day Handball competition on Tuesday.
Held at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium, Bangladesh Ansar and VDP dominated in the both men’s and women’s division on the day two matches.
Meanwhile, the favourites Bangladesh Ansar and VDP and the Border Guard Bangladesh began their campaign with winning their respective matches in the opening day.
In the men’s division, Ansar and VDP played two matches and won both the encounter just thrashing both the opponents.
In the day’s first match and also the first match for Ansar and VDP crushed the Team Handball Dhaka by 52-18 goals when the winners led the first half by 28-07. Ansar and VDP also won their second match in same fashion with demolishing Ideal Handball Garden of Chapai Nababganj by 40-14 goals with leading the first half by 20-05 goals.
In the day’s second match, another title aspirant Border Guard Bangladesh earned an easy 45-26 goals win over Bangladesh Police Handball Club when they eld the first half of the match by 16-09 goals.
In the women’s division, Bangladesh Ansar and VDP defeated the Bodolgasi Handball Association by a huge margin of 55-12 goals with elading the first half of the match by 23-07 goals.
In the day’s another match of the women’s, THT Lion Jamalpur defeated Handball Training Center, Dhaka by 43-39 goals. The winners led the first half by 22-11 goals.
The high voltage match of the tournament will take place today when the favourites Border Guard Bangladesh will face off Bangladesh Ansar VDP (men’s division) at 2:30pm followed by day’s first match will be held between Bangladesh police Handball Club and Team Handball Dhaka.
Meanhwhile, a vital encounter in the women’s devision also will take place when Border Guard Bangladesh women will meet their Bangladesh Ansar VDP counterparts.
In the other match of eh women’s disions will take place with Bodolgasi Handball Association will play against Handball Training Center Dhaka.
