A father and son were killed in a CNG and trolley collision in Munshiganj. The seriously injured mother has been referred to a hospital in Dhaka. The accident took place in front of Torkey Junior School of Charkewar Union in Munshiganj Sadar Upazila on Monday.
The deceased were identified as Dadon Sarkar (32) and his son Honain Sarkar (8). They hail Char Abdullah of Munshiganj Sadar Upazila.
According to eyewitnesses, Dadon Sarkar and his family were going to Munshiganj town by CNG from Chitlia in Adhara of Sadar Upazila. At that time, the CNG collided head-on with the sand-carrying trolley coming from Munsirhat in front of Torquay Junior School. Everyone in the CNG was injured.
When they were rescued and taken to Munshiganj Sadar General Hospital, the doctor on duty declared the father and son dead.
On duty doctor Kamal Pradhan, Munshiganj General Hospital in this regard said that the two victims died before being brought to the hospital.
