Adviser to the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs and the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, Faruk-e-Azam Bir Pratik, expressed his satisfaction with the overall management of the Durga Puja celebrations in Chattogram on Tuesday.
During a visit to several puja mandaps, he remarked, “Religion is personal, but festivals are for everyone. This is a universal celebration. We must move forward by upholding harmony and unity among all communities. The government has taken extensive measures to ensure that this year’s festivities run smoothly. It is a collective celebration where people of all faiths participate.”
Adviser Faruk-e-Azam visited major puja mandaps across the city, including Patenga, J.M. Sen Hall, Kusum Kumari City Corporation School, Dewanji Pukur Par, Prabartak Temple, and Katalganj.
While inspecting the arrangements, he expressed particular satisfaction with the traffic discipline in and around the puja areas, the smooth flow of vehicles, and the overall law and order situation. He also exchanged greetings with devotees and organisers at the mandaps.
Present during the visit were Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr Md Ziauddin, Acting Deputy Commissioner Md Kamruzzaman, CMP DC (West) Hossain Mohammad Kabir Bhuiyan, DC (Traffic-Port) Kabir Ahmed, DC (Crime & Operations) Md Raish Uddin, and leaders of the Puja Celebration Council.
