Farmer’s body recovered from river

Police have recovered the body of a farmer from Langan River at Nasirnagar upazila of Brahmanbaria on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Abdus Salam 65, son of Motaleb Miah, hailed from Sreeghar village under Salam Burishwar union of the upazila.
According to police, Salam went to a land at Medini Haor area for cultivating in his land. He used to cross the Langan river by swimming to reach Medini Haor.
On that day, Salam went missing while crossing the river. Locals, informed the police while saw the floating body of Abdus Salam on Thursday.
Later, Police recovered the body from the spot.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Nasirnagar Police Station Sajedur Rahman said the body of Salam was sent to the morgue of the District Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
The cause of death will be known after autopsy.
