When a number of voluntary organizations came to provide succour to needy people in the wake of coronavirus pandemic, Faridpur Imam Welfare Foundation provided humanitarian assistance to indigent imams and muezzins, who are having hard time in this perilous situation.
On Tuesday morning, Maulana Keramat Ali, president of Faridpur Imam Welfare Foundation and Maulana Ismail Hossain, general secretary, handed over food items to 80 indigent imams and muezzins at the Jhilatuli Khidmah Diagnostic Center in Faridpur city.
Maulana Abul Hossain, Dr Zahirul Islam, DrSaidur Rahman Bhuiyan, Maulana A Qayyum, Maulana Subhan Mahmud, Maulana Kabir Ahmed, Maulana Akmal Hossain were also present, among others.
During this period, they provided necessity items like rice, pulses, oil, salt, potatoes and cash. Later, a dua and munajat was offered praying for protection of people from deadly coronavirus pandemic and for the welfare of the nation.
