The Family Welfare Service and Publicity Week-2019 was inaugurated in Jhenidah on Saturday.
Deputy Commissioner Saroj Kumar Nath inaugurated the week as chief guest by cutting a tape at Maternal and child Health Centre in the district town.
A discussion meeting was held with the DC in the chair. Deputy Director of the department of Family Planning in Jhenidah Dr. Zahid Ahmed, retired assistant professor Golam Mstafa. Dr. Shahidul Islam, Dr. Tanju Ara Taslim among others spoke.
The speakers called upon the people to accept any suitable method of the family planning to make their families happy and healthy for a better Bangladesh. The week will continue till December 12.
