Director General of the Department of Family Planning Sahan Ara Banu (NDC) paid homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Gopalganj's Tungipara on Monday.
She laid a wreath at the altar of Bangabandhu mausoleum and paid deep homage to Father of the Nation.
After reciting the Holy Fateha and Durood, she prayed for the forgiveness of the souls of Bangabandhu and all the martyrs of August 15 as well as for the welfare of the country and the nation. Md. Abdur Razzak, Deputy Director of Gopalganj Department of Family Planning, BM Moniruzzaman, District Consultant, Md. Solaiman Biswas, Upazila Chairman, Nakib Hasan Tarafdar, Executive Officer and others were present there.
After that, Sahan Ara Banu signed the inspection book preserved at Bangabandhu Bhaban and then visited Tungipara "Mother and Child Welfare" centre.
