A fake doctor was arrested from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DHMC) on Thursday.
The arrested is identified as Ripa Akhter. She was arrested from the Gynecology Department of Ward No. 212 of the hospital around 6 pm.
Ansar Platoon Commander (PC) of DMCH Mizanur Rahman said that the woman was walking around wearing an apron in the gynecology department in the old building of the hospital in the evening. Her movement makes our Ansar members suspicious. Later, when female Ansar members challenged her, she admitted that she is not a doctor. She said that she works at a pharmaceutical company. She claimed that she came to DMCH to visit a relative. Later, she was unable to name a relative. At one point, she admitted that she bought an apron from New Market and came here.
DMCH Deputy Director (Finance and Store) Dr. Md. Khalekuzzaman Khan said that fake doctor named Ripa Akhtar was arrested by our Ansar members. After that, she admitted the matter during interrogation. Later, we handed her over to DMCH police camp.
