Chattogram District police have arrested three members of the gang who were trying to prepare fake birth registration, NID and passport with false identity.
The arrested are Md Arif, son of Faiz Ahmed in Teknaf police station of Cox's Bazar district, Md Jasim Uddin son of Nabi Hossain and Mohammad Tarek son of Abu Taher of Chandina police station of Cumilla district.
A team of detectives led by Chattogram Police Superintendent SM Safiullah arrested them.
On Thursday afternoon, Chattogram District Police Superintendent held a press briefing in this regard.
Chattogram District Superintendent of Police said that the gang is carrying out these criminal activities through mobile phones.
The cycle hacked the online birth registration server ID and password of various Union Parishad and Municipalities of Dohazari Municipality in the district. Later, they created Rohingya passports through fake national identity cards through birth registration. Regular cases have been filed against those arrested.
