Locals formed a human chain and held a brief rally demanding impartial investigation into the murder of Mohammad Siddique Mollah of Katakhali village under Korkadi union in Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur.
Hundreds of locals rallied on the Dhaka-Khulna highway at Bagat Bazar in the upazila on Monday noon. Bagat Union AL unit President Shahjahan Mollah and district council member Dev Prasad Roy addressed the rally.
It may be mentioned that Siddique Mollah was seriously injured and died on July 2 when his neighbors attacked him with local weapons and sticks over a land dispute.
Kamrul Islam, the son of the deceased, became the plaintiff in the case, mentioning the names of 60 people and filed a case accusing 10-12 others in this connection.
