Members of Extra-Mohrars Association(EMA) in Bagerhat organised a human chain at Bagerhat DC office premises Sunday morning demanding to make their jobs permanent. More than 200 Extra-Mohrars attended the human chain.
The human chain was addressed, among others, by the Coordinator of EMA, Bagerhat, Sheikh Russel Mahmud, district President of EMA Dedar Ali, President of Fakirhat EMA Azim Mollah, Asaduzzaman, Asaful Haque, Lubna Khatun and Parvin.
Speakers at the human chain said, in 497 Registry Offices of the country there are only 973 permanent posts of the Extra-Mohrars who were serving a huge number of clients but they are spending inhuman lives without any regulart salary. Their salary should be included under the Revenue sector, they demanded.
