An extended meeting of Netrokona district Awami League was held at the local public hall on Saturday noon.
Awami League presidium member Begum Matia Chowdhury, MP addressed the extended meeting as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Netrokona district Awami League president Alhaj Matiar Rahman Khan.
Awami League Joint General Secretary and Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni, MP spoke as the keynote speaker at the meeting through video conference.
Organizing Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, Extended Meeting Coordinator Shafiul Alam Chowdhury Nadel, Organizing Secretary Ahmed Hossain, Cultural Affairs Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil MP, Central Executive Committee Member Marufa Akhter Poppy and others spoke as special guests at the time.
Apart from the members of Awami League's Netrokona district committee, the president of the upazila committee, general secretaries and members of parliament were also present in the extended meeting.
In the extended meeting, the speakers requested to increase the organisational activities of the party as well as highlighted various activities of the leaders and the weaknesses of the party asking to resolve them as soon as possible. In the extended meeting, the central leaders called upon the district and upazila level leaders to work in a united manner to end factionalism, misunderstandings and conflicts among themselves to make the party more organised and strong at the grassroots level.
